New Features in Storyline 360

It’s amazing how we continue to find new features as we explore Storyline 360 further, and I really believe, you can increase the engagement level of your eLearning modules with these new features. Let’s take a closer look at some of them.

Articulate Review

Technically, this isn’t a Storyline 360 feature, but rather an Articulate 360 tool, and even though it doesn’t add engagement or interactions to your eLearning module. Most importantly, it improves your workflow by allowing others to review and give feedback to your module.

Basically, you publish your module to Articulate 360 (Since you know are logged into your account when you execute any of the Articulate 360 programs) and it is now available under your profile. By selecting in and sharing it, you can send the link to anyone, colleagues, supervisors or stakeholders, whose input on the project is valuable.

When the interested party reviews the module, they can add feedback to specific slides, and the coolest part is that, the comments are saved along with a screenshot of the slide, so that developers have a visual reference of the issue and/or the place where it is presented.

Last but not least, you can track the status of a request/change, so your stakeholder knows the progress on the feedback submitted.

Graphic Library

The other area where I feel Storyline has dramatically improved, is in the built-in graphics library. Remember than in a previous version we had the option to add Photographic or Illustrated characters to our eLearning modules? Well, now this character library is much more complete, and it actually includes better illustrated characters (the old ones are kept as well), and you can even filter the characters depending on your needs:

Also, there is a new “Search media” feature, that allows you find and insert into your slides, high quality stock photos, stock videos, illustrations and icons, and if you have an Articulate 360 license, you don’t need to pay extra for them:

Stay tuned for more updates on our Storyline 360 exploration, that will hopefully help you bring your eLearning modules to a higher level!
