A Pathway to Innovative Learning
I am a Learning and Development professional and I have had a wonderful time designing content and facilitating classroom training so far in my career. The joy of having my students tell me that they enjoyed the session is unmatchable. However, as a trainer, I used to always feel something was amiss. While my learners learnt a lot during class, I felt a gap in keeping the learning fresh in their minds post the training. Also, I didn’t see predictability in how they applied their learnings back at work. Given all this, I wondered if there was a more efficient and effective way of delivering what I was achieving in the classroom. Enter e-learning and more specifically Pathways Training and e-learning Inc.
I have recently started working with Pathways and it has opened up a whole new world of online training for me. I am fascinated by the innovative learning solutions that can be designed via e-learning and virtual gaming. Be it customer service reps at banks learning how to provide the best customer service through a simulation or car dealers learning every nuance of their cars to sell customers their dream cars or medical reps learning how to triage patients in the ER through virtual reality training, we have it all covered!
At Pathways Training and eLearning, we work with some great clients and some recent projects I have had the experience of doing quality assurance for include projects like:
·Creating dynamic and engaging instructor led training and eLearning courses for Porsche Canada.
·Working on over 50 different eLearning courses for RBC, including dynamic virtual gamified eLearning simulations, for branch employees.
·Exploring Canada’s first 360 video and virtual reality eLearning module that Pathways Training and eLearning created with St. John’s Ambulance, to help people understand what to do in a mass causality situation.
